    TORINOSTRATOSFERICA

We were recently invited to Turin to participate in the upcoming festival Torinostratosferica Utopian HoursWe were not given any information prior or concrete brief, all we had to do was walk around to gather our impressions and associations and then share these. The festival which has been around since 2014 is all about imagining the city. Check it out. Thank you again for the invitation, it was great to be back in Italy to flaneur

    KANTSTRASSE ON KANTSTRASSE

After the issue we gave to our favourite Taiwanese noodle shop Lon Men’s four years ago was recently stolen we popped by to give the owner a fresh copy and hope this one too will be covered in beautiful greasy fingerprints soon.  We featured Lon Men’s in Issue 1 – as you can see here, Helmut Kohl was a patron and is looking good next to the tower of Taipei )
PS: we could make a whole magazine featuring stories of stolen Kantstrassen issues. They just always disappear!

ZIG ZAG CITY AND FLANEUR WORKSHOP A SUCCESS!

We were invited by OMI to participate in this year’s architecture festival ZigZag in Rotterdam.

Together with fourteen participants from various backgrounds and Studio Spass we set up office in the local bar de Gastronoom and created a one off printed publication in reaction to Zuidplein, the neighborhood the festival chose to focus on this year.

We created an eight-paged publication in ten hours. It was printed over night and then folded by the team the next day. We introduced the publication at a brunch inside Zuidplein’s shopping mall before we distributed it around the metro station and neighborhood. Check out some of the photographs and results here on our Facebook page.

Phantom Circuit – Stories from Fokionos Negri
Part IV: My street, or the Films I Dream of by Menelaos Karamaghiolis, p.86-88

In order to unearth the topic of his next movie, filmmaker Menelaos Karamaghiolis has been digging into his intimate relationship with the faces and places of Fokionos Negri, bridging the gap between past and present by examining the street’s deep influence on his adult life. Through a series of potential movie ideas, which he shoots on his camera phone, Karamaghiolis sheds light on his rediscovered appreciation for Fokionos Negri.
