Workshops & Talks

WORKSHOPS - We have done many workshops and talks over the years, sharing and applying our unique Flaneur methodology to different contexts, and guiding participants in the collaborative editorial processes.

Employing psychogeographic and multidisciplinary strategies, the workshops provide a creative reading of the cityscape revealing the hidden layers and mythologies of the place.

Working with museums, schools, cultural institutions, festivals and other organizations, our workshop can vary in length and size.

Final outputs can also vary from riso-printed zines, installations, audio pieces and more. The workshops are usually led by our editors-in-chiefs and the art direction of the final output is handled by Studio Yukiko.

TALKS - We also offer talks on various topics, from our art directors sharing their design approach, to our editors or publisher discussing the magazine's unique methodology, its storytelling techniques, the making of indie magazines in general or any topics related to one of our nine issues. We have given talks at conferences, universities, schools, festivals and cultural spaces.

What Other People Said.

  • What participants say about the workshops

“I would like to thank you very much again. I think I speak for everyone when I say that it was a really great experience for us. [...] Thank you also for accepting our ideas, brainstorming with us and bringing our ideas to life.
    - Mona (Schirn workshop)”

  • What institutions say about the workshops

“Besides their original way of working, their experience, communication and enthusiasm were crucial to the workshop. All the participants - designers, architects, writers - were very positive about Grashina and Fabian, and proud to be part of the team. The workshop was not only a successful experiment to all of us, we think it is worth to explore the invented method in other cities too.”
    - Zig Zag City
